¿When?

The standards for living in society are very distorted

First of all, society often puts emphasis on superficial aspects such as having good skin, a fit body, a perfect smile, beautiful hair, and even the color of one's skin. It's disheartening how these external attributes are prioritized. Additionally, people tend to inquire about materialistic things like the size of your house, the race of your pet, ur chosen major, and the number of languages you speak (unfortunately, fluency seems to be the only factor that garners attention, disregarding those who are still in the process of learning). Instead, wouldn't it be wonderful if society focused on more meaningful aspects like mental well-being and kindness in our interactions? Starting conversations about the impact of our words could be a great step towards this. I heard i some days ago that we're living in a sensitive society now, but I don't buy it. Maybe the only difference is that people are showing more, tired of being silenced and hiding their true selves.
